Diamond 1 - 10th/11th May 2008.

2008 Diamond 1 Tournament - Report.

What a difference a year makes - any of you that remember the attrocious weather we had last year must have been amazed by the conditions this year - two days of glorious sunshine. If anything the ground was a little firm this year - something that wasn't a problem in 2007!!

I don't want to bore you with details of the event as hopefully you were all there - if not you missed out and hopefully we'll be seeing you at future Tournaments.
Suffice to say the weekend was a great success and the only negative comments were about the location of some of the Diamonds - which will be rectified for future Tournaments. Unfortunately we had to place the Diamonds where we were told to by the Football and Cricket clubs but after some discussions a compromise has been reached that should suit everyone.

"Undiscovered" - Saturday nights band were amazing and those that stayed for the evening seemed to have a great time. Tournament Organiser Dave King seemed to have to much of a good time which he did regret on Sunday morning!!
If you're interested in finding out more about the band then check out their web-site by clicking on their logo on our "Links" page.
The evening entertainment for Diamond 2 is being arranged at the moment but they'll be a tough act to follow!!

Many thanks to all of the volunteers that helped out over the weekend and thank you to everyone that came along and made it such a great couple of days.
